“Dr. Julie is great at creating a welcoming atmosphere for new patients. I typically dread doctor visits, but the staff and atmosphere is very welcoming. I’m also impressed with the organization and I like getting the reminder email of my next visit. Go with Dr. Julie if you are looking in the Pasadena area.” – Geoff T.
“I’m not a drama queen but Dr. Taylor absolutely changed my life! I started seeing her about a year ago. My hormones were terribly off and I wasn’t sleeping, I had gained weight and no matter what I did I couldn’t lose it and I was constantly irritable with everyone who crossed my path. Dr. Taylor promised to help me and she came through with flying colors. A year later I am different person. I feel soooo good! So far I have recommended 3 friends to her and my husband just started seeing her a couple months ago after he witnessed first-hand the differences she made for me. I would give her 10 out of 5 stars if I could.” – Lisa B.
“I have been going to dr.taylor for about a year now; she is great to go to. The process in which she conducts blood tests is non invasive and easy, not the typical torturous way most doctors use, for, any tiny test they take so much blood. If you are like me and hate blood tests this is up there on the top of my list of importance.she is very easy to talk to about what ones needs are and a great easy going personality that puts one at ease. She is great to go to for women especially because she understands the female body let’s face it we are more complicated and need someone who understands what going on.” – Laura C.
“Julie Taylor MD is an advocate for women’s health like NO other. I had EVERY SINGLE negative symptom of menopause…After getting the same options from traditional Dr’s over & over, I just wanted an option to feel better that wasn’t synthetic & chemicals. I researched on line that I wanted to try bio identical hormone therapy. I booked a consultation & started the process with Julie. She’s so much more than someone just prescribing medicine. She explains the reasons why & the options & the importance of hormones & your blood work & your results. No MD has ever gone into detail to help me understand how I could feel great! I tried a couple options until the right one for me & now I’m a NEW person! I feel great, my blood work is improved & I’m so happy to have the information I need to make the right decisions to live a happy life while aging gracefully. Tell every woman you know experiencing peri-menopause to menopause…it will change their life!” – Valerie R.
“What impressed me initially about Dr. Taylor is that when I first called the number that I found on her website, she answered the phone herself. It was about 6pm on a weekday so I expected an after-hours answering service, like all doctors have. Speaking to her directly so quickly was a pleasant surprise. She was very personable and she answered my general questions about bioidentical hormone replacement. I felt instantly comforted and made an appointment for the following week.
I feel so grateful to have found Dr. Taylor. Not only is she an intelligent and knowledgable doctor, she has taken thoughtful care of me and my individual needs. Another thing about her that I love is that she advocates a plant-based diet. Being a vegan, it is very important that my doctor shares these core values with me. Dr. Taylor is also an educator on plant-based nutrition at a medical clinic. I find that very admirable.
The bioidenticals supplementation has been amazing. I feel like I have my old, energetic self back and my life back. Dr. Taylor doesn’t just prescribe according to the results on your blood and saliva texts. She takes into consideration your own feelings and observations about your own body.
I’m a person with a lot of questions so I have emailed her with questions on several occasions, and she has always gotten back to me in a timely manner, usually within a few hours. She’s a very busy doctor so I appreciate that.
Bioidenticals are a godsend and finding the right doctor is very important. I have referred Dr. Taylor to a couple of girlfriends. One of them had seen a “famous” bioidenticals doctor on the westside (drove far to see her) who she didn’t like at all. This doctor had a know-it-all attitude and didn’t listen to her individual needs. She stopped seeing this doctor and gave up on bioidenticals. It is a shame that a doctor can turn one off to this wonderful treatment, but it happens. A doctor’s bedside manner is so important. My definition of a good doctor is based on 50% knowledge, expertise and alignment in values and 50% accessibility and bedside manner (how comfortable and well taken care of they make you feel). Dr. Taylor has all these qualities. I feel fortunate that I found her and that her office is conveniently located in Pasadena (another bonus).” – Audrey R.
“My husband & I have been trying to get pregnant for almost 3 years. After having 2 miscarriages we were not sure what was going wrong. We saw doctor after doctor & no one had a reason as to why. They just kept saying “Keep trying. The good news is you are getting pregnant.” This was not a good enough answer for me.
When I first met with Dr. Taylor, she suggested taking a test to see how my hormone levels were doing. This was great because no other doctor had suggested this before. Come to find out they were extremely low, both estrogen & progesterone. She informed me that this is key for having a successful pregnancy & pregnancies sometimes end in miscarriage because of low progesterone from the mother. WOW! Finally an answer that makes sense!
Through months of estrogen creams & progesterone supplements we began to work toward balancing my levels. I am so happy to report that I am currently 7 weeks pregnant! Last week we went to the OBGYN & saw & heard the heartbeat on the ultrasound. It was amazing! I feel really confident with this pregnancy that it is going to go full term because I have Dr. Taylor in my corner & she is monitoring my hormones every step of the way. Thank you so much & I would highly recommend her to anyone who is having challenges getting & staying pregnant.” – BF
“Dr. Taylor is a wonderful doctor. She listens, she cares and she knows her stuff.
I was routinely suffering from exhaustion, weakness and weight gain. I also found myself in a mild funk, nothing really excited me anymore. In addition, I have two young boys and it was becoming harder and harder to keep up with them. Just taking them to the park, took a maximum effort from me. All in all, I felt I wasn’t being the husband and father I wanted to be.
So, I finally went to my GP for a full physical and listed all my issues. I had also researched low thyroid (family history) and low testosterone (A few years back I had a diagnoses). My GP ordered all the blood work and tests. When the results came back, my GP informed me that all my results were “normal”, including cholesterol, thyroid and testosterone. I debated my GP about the lab results, my symptoms, my family history etc. for half an hour. The best my GP could do for was a laminated picture of a “dieters” plate. My mother who is an R.N. warned me about this interpretation of the lab results from the GP because she had been dealing with GP’s and “old-school understanding” about her low thyroid issue for years. She suggested I find a specialist.
That’s when I found Dr. Taylor and I’m so lucky I did. I took the same lab results to her and she immediately picked up on the low thyroid and low testosterone. I hadn’t mentioned the experience I had with my GP yet. She listened, as I explained all my issues and concerns. She ordered a few additional blood tests to be thorough. Once those results were back, we discussed my symptoms in detail and the various treatment options. I really like that she was interested in finding treatment(s) that would work best for me and my busy schedule. For her, it’s about treating the whole patient not just the symptoms. She really understands the importance of proper hormone balance and having a healthy mind and body.
All I can say is WOW, I feel incredible now. My energy is back, I feel stronger and things are looking up. I realize now, I had forgotten how good it is to feel “GOOD!”. It’s not a miracle cure, as Dr. Taylor and I discussed. I still need to exercise and work on my nutrition but I’m in such a better place that it all seems doable now. My wife and kids have also noticed the new “spark” in dad which is awesome too. As far as I’m concerned Dr. Taylor is incredible. I highly recommend a visit to her office” – Scott H.
